Adjustments

A removable dental prosthesis (denture) is custom made to fit you. However, in an area of the body as sensitive as the mouth, it is normal to return to your dental prosthetist for minor adjustments after you first start to wear your new denture until it can be worn comfortably.

Over the years, changes in your mouth may lead to pressure or sore spots in your mouth from your dental prosthesis becoming ill-fitting. This is why we recommend annual check ups to prevent such problems occurring. However, should you experience any discomfort with a prosthesis you have been wearing for a long time, it's wise to have it checked to ensure that fit and comfort of the denture is maintained. Call us to arrange a consultation to discuss your individual concerns.
